Biography

Nutthachai Chaivanich

Nutthachai Chaivanich is a 16-year-old classical guitarist from Thailand.

He is currently enrolled in the Multi-Arts (Music and Performance) program at Assumption College Thonburi in Bangkok, where he studies with a full scholarship.

Nutthachai began studying classical guitar at the age of eight and has worked with teachers including Prasong Ponin, Yutthasak Komjornkijborworn, asst.prof. Pongpat Pongpradit, Chinnawat Themkhumkwun, Worrapat Yansupap and Dr. An Tran.

He has participated in masterclasses with internationally recognized guitarists such as Benjamin Verdery, Christoph Denoth, Alexander-Sergei Ramirez, Kevin Loh, Monching Carpio, Worakarn Saensomboon, and An Tran.

He has received numerous awards at international guitar competitions, including Second Prize in the Youth Division at the Guitar Foundation of America International Competition 2024, widely regarded as the most prestigious classical guitar competition in the world.

In 2022, Nutthachai co-founded the Sunny Guitar Duo with Vietnamese guitarist Trần Phan Thuận Nguyên. The duo has been actively performing in Thailand, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City, presenting a diverse repertoire for two guitars.
